End of term

The end of the term has arrived, and all that has begun has finished. All that was striven for has been achieved. All that was intended was completed. You feel the purpose become real, you realise the 'why', the 'need', you exist as a Teacher to fulfill a need and that need is real. Now and only now can you fully define why you do what you do and why the job is more than the money that it pays. You appreciate the precious life that you strive to nurture and keep safe. You understand the impact you have made and how it will never be forgotten. You understand how you have made somebody else happy and content.

It is a wonderful feeling.
