Guess The Haircare Product

Had great fun teaching some of my year 11's on Friday, whilst explaining the systems lifecycle, one of them correctly guessed the hair gell that I use. Do you think that they were not exactly concentrating?

Also have been messing around with Apache, PHP and DNS servers for Moodle - a teaching / resource environment - looks cool - see Moodle.Org

Also Sun Microsystems have put out a version of their LookingGlass 3D desktop environment - have tried it out - very very cool - see LookingGlass Demo and Developer Release

A good quip from a mate - A bloke walks in to a mechanics (auto repair shop) and asks for something to be fixed - the mechanic replies 'when do you want it done by?' - the bloke replies 'well, ummm, yesterday' - the mechanic replies 'that's a shame, we were really busy yeasterday, but today we could fit you in'.

What a week

Been back at work (school) a week and I do not know what has hit me, feels like the summer was only a rumour. Pupils did ok'ish in exams, but not as good as I would have hoped :-(

Off to an Archery Competition tommorrow, have not done enough planning for the week yet, but should be ok for Monday. Especially now that PPA (Preparation Planning Assessment) time has kicked in, so I cannot be taken for cover and thus can work on the important things like lesson planning and marking.

I hope that '9/11' tomorrow is peaceful and uneventful.
